Delete your LedgerMeAI account
You can delete your LedgerMeAI account and everything in it. There are two ways.
In the app — open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm. This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
By email — write to stefan@ledgermeai.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and email you when it is done.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account: your login, every connected bank and its access token, every account, transaction, category and budget, your imported files, and your conversations with the guide. We also instruct Plaid to end the connection to your banks, so no further data is retrieved.
What we keep, briefly
Deletion completes within 30 days. Routine backups are purged on their normal cycle, so a copy may persist in an inaccessible backup for a short period after that. We may keep a minimal record that a deletion happened, where the law requires it.
If you only want to disconnect a bank
You do not have to delete your account. Open the app, go to Accounts, and choose Disconnect on any connected bank. That ends our access to that institution and leaves the rest of your data intact.
